We are independent and proud of it!

AT PARIS SCHOOL, we do more than teach. We educate. As an independent K-8 school district, we are free from the limiting curricular mandates of larger school systems. Our superior academic standards and focus on literacy and numeracy, technology in the classroom, and writing across the curriculum build a foundation that promotes unmatched student achievement from Kindergarten through eighth grade and beyond.

Our undeniable educational success is bolstered by a Paris School Board committed to putting cutting-edge curriculum and learning materials in the hands of our educators. Our challenging, comprehensive Reading, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Match (STEM) curriculum provides the tools our teachers need to engage students
of all ages and propel them to the heights of academic achievement!

Our Houghton, Mifflin, and  Harcourt Journeys K-6 reading curriculum
is a top choice for educators across the nation. Featuring “results-driven instruction, digital tools, and rigorous instructional design”, the Journeys approach is an exceptional fit with Paris School’s commitment to building strong readers across the curriculum.

Our engaging K-5 math program embraces the common core expectation that “the goal of learning skills in not just to acquire knowledge but to be able to transfer knowledge to a variety of settings.”

This K-5 curriculum that utilizes hands-on, project-based classroom activities to teach engineering principles. A variety of problem-solving experiences will expand our students’ knowledge and passion for engineering, science, and technology.

In PLTW engineering, Paris middle school students engage in open-ended problem solving, learn and apply the engineering design process, and use the same industry-leading technology that is used in the world’s top companies.
